About Us
Hi, I'm Kate — owner, operator, and heart behind Little Feet Creative Learning. My husband and I have been married for over 21 years and are the proud parents of six daughters. Family isn't just something we talk about at Little Feet; it's the lens through which we see everything we do. I opened Little Feet Creative Learning in 2015 with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves to spend their days in a place that feels warm, welcoming, and genuinely like home. Too often, childcare centers feel clinical and impersonal. I wanted to create something different, a center where children walk in and feel a sense of belonging from the very first moment.
More Than a Center — A Community
In 2020, our family became foster parents, welcoming a little girl into our home for over nine months. That experience deepened my understanding of what children need most: stability, warmth, and a place where they feel truly seen. That same year, when the pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Little Feet remained open as an emergency childcare facility for first responders on the front lines. We were honored to support those families during the most uncertain of times, and we never once closed our doors. It's one of the moments I'm most proud of, and it reflects exactly who we are — a center that shows up for its community when it matters most.

What You'll Find Here

When you walk into Little Feet for the first time, you'll notice something right away: this doesn't look like a typical daycare. The walls of our entryway and every classroom are covered in beautiful, hand-painted murals, created specifically for our space, for our children. It's not decoration for decoration's sake. It's an intentional choice rooted in the belief that a child who feels comfortable and at ease is a child who is ready to learn, explore, and be creative. Every detail of our environment from the colors, the layout, the way each room feels has been thoughtfully designed to bring children a sense of calm, joy, and belonging, because when children feel at home, they flourish.
Our Philosophy
We believe that childhood is precious and brief, and that the early years lay the foundation for everything that comes after. Our approach is rooted in nurturing the whole child: their curiosity, their confidence, their creativity, and their character. We also believe that where a child is placed matters. Rather than grouping strictly by birth date, we place each child in the program that best reflects their individual developmental stage. This means your child is always learning alongside peers who match where they are, not just how old they are, creating a classroom environment that feels right, not rushed. We guide children through positive reinforcement, patience, and genuine love for what we do. Our staff are not just teachers, they are nurturers, encouragers, and champions for every child in their care.
